RealCycler ECSALI allows the detection of Escherichia coli, Streptococcus agalactiae and Listeria monocytogenes DNA in clinical samples. These pathogens cause infectious meningoencephalitis characterized by fever and evident cellular response in cerebrospinal fluid. Diagnosis is challening due to diverse pathogens and atypical forms.
