Enterovirus are RNA viruses that can cause severe infections such as meningitis, encephalitis, and myocarditis. Herpes simplex is a DNA virus that can lead to infections such as cold sores, genital herpes, and herpetic encephalitis. Varicella zoster virus, also known as the chickenpox-zoster virus, is a herpesvirus responsible for chickenpox and shingles, which may result in complications like encephalitis, pneumonia, and postherpetic neuralgia. Early detection is essential to prevent severe complications associated with these viral infections.
