RealCycler MENENCEF-P1 allows the detection of different pathogens related to infectious meningoencephalitis in clinical samples. Infectious meningoencephalitis causes inflammation of the meninges and brain, potentially extending to the spinal cord. It is characterized by fever and a notable cellular response in the cerebrospinal fluid. The diagnosis is complex due to the existence of atypical forms and because it can be caused by many different pathogens.
