Parvovirus B19

RealCycler PARV allows the detection of Parvovirus B19 DNA in clinical samples. Human parvovirus B19 causes maculopapular erythema on the cheeks in children, and is also associated with arthritis, hydrops fetalis, and aplastic anemia. The virus is detected in respiratory secretions and serum of sick and

healthy people, and is transmitted by respiratory, parenteral, and mother-to-fetus routes.
